Veteran playback singer Mohit Chauhan experienced a sudden mishap while performing at AIIMS Bhopal, leaving fans and organisers momentarily concerned for his safety. The singer, known for hits like Sadda
Haq, Tum Se Hi, Abhi Kuch Dino Se, Tujhe Bhula Diya, and Ilahi, was delivering a live performance when he tripped over a stage light.
The incident occurred while Chauhan was performing Nadaan Parinde from Rockstar. As he moved closer to the stage lights to connect with the audience, he lost his balance and fell. Concert organisers and medical personnel quickly came to his aid, temporarily halting the performance to ensure he was unharmed. Being at AIIMS, doctors immediately attended to him on stage.

Earlier, in a discussion with Bollywood Bubble, Chauhan had shared his perspective on the current remix culture and artificial intelligence in music. “Mujhe lagta hai ki woh khaali business ke liye kiya jaata hai. Nahi toh ek gaane ko remake karne ka reason kya hai? Kuch bhi nahi hai. Ab main ek gaane ko baar-baar… usme drum beat nikal doon, phir usme shehnai daal doon—gaana toh wahi hai. Uska original form hi best rehta hai,” he said. He further explained that altering lyrics changes the essence of a song, making it difficult for listeners to relate, and stressed the value of creating original music over repeated remakes.
Mohit Chauhan, born on 11 March 1966, is an acclaimed Indian playback singer and former member of the band Silk Route. He has received multiple accolades, including two Filmfare Awards, a Maharashtra State Film Award, and three Zee Cine Awards for Best Male Playback Singer. His Bollywood career took off in 2002 with Pehli Nazar Mein Dari Thi from Road, composed by Sandesh Shandilya. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2010 for the song Masakali.
