Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2026: Application Begins For 379 Posts, Check Details

The Indian Army has started the recruitment for the 67th Men and Women Course for the October 2026 Batch today, January 7, 2026. The detailed notification for the Short Service Commission Technical Men and Women –

67 course is now available on the official website at joinindianarmy.nic.in. The deadline for online applications is February 5 for male candidates and February 4 for female candidates.

Unmarried male and female engineering graduates can apply for Short Service Commission (SSC), the training for which will begin in October 2026 at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).

A total of 379 posts are to be filled, with 350 positions for men and 29 positions for women. The course will begin in April 2025 at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA). Candidates must carefully read the detailed notification, including eligibility, age limit, selection process, salary, and other relevant details.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have an engineering degree.

Age Limit: Male and female candidates aged 20 to 27 years as of October 1, 2026, can apply. Applicants must have been born between October 1, 1999, and September 31, 2006, inclusive.

According to the official notice, selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission on probation in the rank of Lieutenant with full pay and allowances during training. Upon successful completion of the PCTA, Officers will be confirmed for SSC (Technical) in the rank of Lieutenant. Engineering graduates will be granted one year ante date seniority from the date of commission.
