Team India registered their second win at the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026 with their mammoth 93-run triumph over Namibia in their Group A fixture on Thursday as the men in blue sprinted to a total of 209 before wrapping up the Namibians for just 116 runs.
India posted the mammoth total thanks to Ishan Kishan’s incredible 61-run knock off 24 deliveries, while Hardik Pandya chipped in with a half-century of his own.
Following the win, India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah posted a cheeky message of appreciation for the southpaw following his innings that helped India to the huge total and the eventual win.
“What doesn’t hurt you (too badly) makes you stronger,” Bumrah’s post read.

Bumrah’s post is a dig at
the episode at the Indian nets in the lead-up to the game as one of the pacer’s toe-crushing yorkers hit Kishan on his foot and left the batter writhing in pain, leaving his appearance against Namibia in doubt.
However, Kisha recovered in time to line up for the Men in Blue against Namibia and went on to produce a statement innings against the minnows. Varun Chakravarthy was the star with the ball for India against Namibia as the spinner posted a three-fer, while Axar Patel and Pandya picked up a couple of wickets each.
Despite the defeat, Namibia skipper Gerhard Erasmus registered impressive figures of 4/20 in his 4 overs in a historic accomplishment for a player from his nation.
Defending champions India, who opened the tournament with a win over the USA, added to their tally with the massive win over Namibia climbing to the top of Group A with a superlative net run rate thanks to their emphatic wins. India will take on Pakistan in a high-stakes clash at Colombo on Sunday.
