News agency ANI also shared a video of fans from Gubeen Garg’s residence and wrote, “Fans gathered outside the residence of Late Singer Zubeen Garg and celebrated his 53rd birthday today, on November 18.” Watch it here:

How Did Zubeen Garg Die?

For the unversed, Zubeen Garg had travelled to Singapore to participate in the North East Festival. However, he passed away on September 19, allegedly by drowning. Zubeen was rescued from the sea by Singapore police and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where doctors monitored his condition and provided intensive care. Despite these efforts, the singer sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Was Zubeen Garg Murdered?

Last month, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that Zubeen Garg was murdered and that his death cannot be ruled out as a “mishap”. “I will not refer to Zubeen Garg’s death as a ‘mishap’ today. We need to submit the chargesheet in Zubeen Garg’s murder before December 17. I have given the target that it be submitted by December 8. We are ready from all directions,” he said.

“If something happens abroad, before submitting the chargesheet, we need approval from the Home Ministry. Yesterday, I apprised Home Minister Amit Shah as well, so that the approval may be granted quickly. In the next few days, the SIT will write to the MHA. Once we get the approval, we will file the chargesheet on December 8, 9 or 10,” Sarma said, according to a report by the Indian Express.
