Bhuvneshwar Kumar has entered his name in the history books on Sunday, April 5, by becoming the first fast bowler to take 200 wickets in the IPL. Bhuvneshwar needed 1 wicket in match No. 11 of IPL 2026, taking place between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, to complete 200 wickets in the IPL, and he achieved the objective by dismissing Ayush Mhatre on the second ball of the second over of CSK’s innings in the 251-run chase.
Mhatre was caught by RCB skipper Rajat Patidar after scoring 1 run from 3 balls for the Chennai-based franchise.
