A Mumbai-based man who once struggled to balance a demanding corporate job with content creation revealed how he left his job and decided to switch to full-time content creation. He shared that he is now earning three to four times his corporate salary, which brought him financial independence and relief from the stress of monthly expenses and paying EMIs.
Shubh Sarang, whose content mostly revolves around bikes, shared his journey in an Instagram video, where he admitted that leaving a stable job was not easy, as he worried about whether social media income could replace his regular salary. But once he received his payment of Rs 1 lakh from a brand collaboration, it gave him the confidence to switch to content creation.
He Shares How He Got His
First Big Paycheck “I finally left my job, and genuinely I feel so relieved by it. No more targets, no more boss ka pressure, no more Microsoft and all of this financial freedom is because of content creation,” he said. “I was just a normal content creator. I had around 10,000 followers. I don’t know, suddenly people started loving my content and in just 1 or 2 months, I gained around 100k followers. At that time, I got a brand deal. They literally gave me a paycheck of 1 lakh.”
Another video helped him cross 2 lakh followers, followed by more lucrative brand deals. “Brands have started paying me Rs 1,50,000, Rs 1,30,000 just for one video. Monthly, I am getting paid around Rs 2,50,000, Rs 2,20,000. That’s when I decided that let’s take a risk and give time to content creation,” he added.
He Clarifies He Isn’t Encouraging People To Leave Stable Jobs
However, Shubh cautioned others against making similar decisions without considering the risks. “I am not encouraging anyone to quit their job and follow their passion because it can be risky,” he said, recalling his worries about managing his EMIs without a fixed income.
Before quitting, Shubh followed an exhausting routine. After working from 9 am to 6 pm, he would shoot content and spend hours editing videos, sometimes staying up until 4 am before returning to work at 8 am. The lack of sleep left him exhausted, and he sometimes fell asleep at the office. “I used to feel so low,” he said.
He Expresses His Gratitude To God
But things took a turn, and he had no one but God to thank for everything. “Be grateful to God for everything. For the food you get. For the house you are having. For the healthy life you have. For your parents. For everything. Just be grateful, guys. If you are grateful to God, you will get everything,” he said.
Internet Congratulates Him
Soon people began congratulating him for taking the leap of faith and building something of his own.
“Keep growing, brother; no giving up on the dream,” said a user.
Another quipped, “Congratulations and best of luck.”
“Great, brother! You deserve it,” an individual said.
