Ganesh Chaturthi may have wrapped up, but Alia Bhatt is holding on to the quieter family moments that came with the festival. The actress took to Instagram to share a fresh set of pictures from the week, offering glimpses of the celebrations at home with Ranbir Kapoor, daughter Raha, Neetu Kapoor, Shaheen Bhatt and Soni Razdan.
From welcoming Ganpati Bappa home to performing aarti with the family, Alia’s post looked back at the festival through intimate snapshots rather than elaborate posed pictures. One particularly sweet moment featured a drawing made by Raha, who sketched the Ganpati idol on paper and filled it in with crayons.
Sharing the pictures, Alia simply wrote, “the week that was ✨ गणपती बाप्पा मोरया.”

The carousel included several moments from the family’s celebrations. In one frame, Alia could be seen participating in the aarti with Ranbir, Neetu and Raha. Another picture brought Alia together with sister Shaheen Bhatt and mother Soni Razdan.
It was Raha’s artwork, however, that added a particularly personal touch to the post. The little one had drawn her own version of the Ganpati idol and coloured it with crayons, with Alia including the artwork among the memories she chose to share from the week.
Raha’s face remained hidden in the photographs, with a white heart emoji placed over it.
Alia And Ranbir Continue To Keep Raha Away From Cameras
Alia and Ranbir have become increasingly protective of Raha’s privacy over the past year.
In 2025, after Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident and Kareena Kapoor and Saif’s subsequent decision to restrict paparazzi access to their sons Taimur and Jeh, Ranbir and Alia reportedly made a similar request regarding Raha.
The couple met photographers informally and asked them not to click or circulate their daughter’s pictures. Reports at the time also suggested that they indicated legal action could be considered if the request was repeatedly ignored.
Alia has since largely avoided posting photographs in which Raha’s face is clearly visible. She also removed some older pictures from Instagram and has continued to either keep Raha out of frame or conceal her face in newer posts.
Ranbir Kapoor Carries Ganpati Idol During Visarjan
The family was also photographed during Ganesh Visarjan on Friday evening.
Ranbir stepped out wearing a rust-orange kurta with white pyjamas and was seen carrying the Ganpati idol while chanting, “Ganpati Bappa Morya.” Neetu Kapoor, dressed in blue, accompanied him with a puja thali.
Alia wore a pink-and-green kurta set and held Raha close throughout the outing. Raha, dressed in pastel shades, remained tucked into her mother’s arms.
At one point, Alia was seen carefully walking backwards while keeping Raha away from the direct line of the paparazzi cameras and flashes. The gesture once again reflected the family’s decision to maintain stricter boundaries around the child’s public visibility.
What’s Next For Alia Bhatt And Ranbir Kapoor?
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is currently occupied with two major projects. He will play Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The first instalment is scheduled for release this Diwali, with the second part expected in 2027.
Ranbir is also working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which reunites him with Alia on screen and also stars Vicky Kaushal.
Alia, meanwhile, was last seen in the YRF spy film Alpha, in which she played a trained assassin. Apart from Love & War, she has Adesh Prasad’s Tumbbad 2 with Sohum Shah and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the pipeline.
She has also backed the Prime Video show Don’t Be Shy, which is scheduled to begin streaming on September 25.
