Sometimes, it’s not the red carpet or the big screen that gets people talking, but a moment caught on camera. On Thursday morning, after casting his vote in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)
elections, Akshay Kumar found himself at the centre of such a moment. As the actor stepped out of the polling booth and made his way towards his car, a woman in the crowd called out to him, asking for help. The brief interaction, captured on video and now widely shared on social media, has drawn praise from fans for Akshay’s calm and respectful response. What happened outside the polling booth In the viral clip, the woman approaches Akshay and explains her situation. Holding a piece of paper, she tells him, “Papa bahut bade karze mein hai, unko please bahar nikalo (My father is in a huge debt, please help him).” Akshay stops, listens to her, and then asks his team to take her contact details. When the woman attempts to touch his feet, he gently stops her before getting into his car. The entire exchange lasts only a few moments, but it was enough to strike a chord online. Fans react to the viral moment Soon after the video surfaced, social media users flooded the comments section with praise for the actor. Many called the gesture thoughtful and grounded. Comments like “So humble” and “Akshay sir Super Super super” were repeated across platforms. Another user wrote, “They are celeb because of them … aam janta and it is the time for pay back. And they should be a giver.” One fan added, “Salman Khan& akshay kumar bhot bde dil ke h.” The clip quickly became one of the most talked-about celebrity moments from election day. If you want to be the real hero of Mumbai, then instead of dialogues, you should come and vote.” Celebs turn out for civic polls Polling took place across 29 civic bodies in Maharashtra, including Mumbai.
