'He Was Amazing In Dhurandhar But...': Prithviraj Sukumaran Reveals His Favourite Ranveer Singh Role

Ranveer Singh was recently seen in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and he managed to win over audiences with his top-notch performance. Not only did the film gain attention for its intense and interesting storyline and performances, but it also made headlines for its thunderous box office run. But it seems that Prithviraj Sukumaran loves his performance as Rocky Randhawa in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani more than his role in Dhurandhar. In a recent interview, the actor expressed his admiration for Ranveer.

During his conversation with Galatta Plus, Prithviraj Sukumaran reflected on a few performances that have left a lasting impression on him in recent years. Among them, he singled out Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of Rocky Randhawa in Rocky Aur

Rani Kii Prem Kahaani as his standout favourite. Although he acknowledged the appreciation Ranveer has earned for Dhurandhar, Prithviraj shared that it was his performance as Rocky that impressed him the most.

He said, “For me, one of his finest performances is Rocky in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He was so good. I know people talk about Dhurandhar, he was amazing in Dhurandhar, but I have said this to Karan Johar also that Ranveer Singh was amazing in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. That’s not an easy character to pull off at all.”

Directed by Karan Johar, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also stars Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Anjali Anand, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly in important roles. Released in 2023, the film was highly loved by the audience.

Meanwhile, talking about Prithviraj, he has multiple projects lined up. He will be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra with Kareena Kapoor Khan. He also has I, Nobody and Khalifa. He has also teamed up with SS Rajamouli for Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. It will hit theatres in April 2027.
