Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan has featured in the new promo of the upcoming reality show, The 50. On Saturday, JioHotstar dropped a video teaser in which Farah was seen reacting to the reality show and
wondering what it would revolve around. “Badalne waali hai reality shows ki reality,” she said in the promo. She then asks her manager about why she hasn’t been called for what’s being touted as India’s biggest reality show.
In a separate statement, Farah Khan talked about the show and said, “Reality shows in India have followed a certain pattern for years, and finally The 50 is coming in to shake that up. The scale is massive, the number of people is unprecedented, and the constant pressure leaves no room for comfort.”
“That’s exactly what makes it exciting—it’s intense, unpredictable, and a wild ride from start to finish. Comfort zone jaisi cheez yahaan exist hi nahi karti.Having seen and judged almost every kind of reality format, I genuinely believe The 50 will change the way audiences look at reality television,” she added.

What Is The 50?
The 50 is India’s version of the popular French series, Les Cinquante. The format also inspired an American adaptation back in 2023, titled Los 50, which aired on Telemundo. Centered around a bold concept involving 50 contestants living together in a grand mahal without a fixed set of rules, the show leans into chaos and unpredictability.
As per reports, a mix of celebrities, social media influencers, and former Bigg Boss contestants are being considered for the show as of now.
Like Bigg Boss, The 50 will be available on JioHotstar and Colors TV, making it easily accessible to viewers. However, the show aims to stand out with a format Indian audiences have not witnessed before.
The 50 will premiere on February 1.
