Kashmera Shah Came Early To Yes Boss Sets To Avoid Being Seen In Auto: 'SRK, Juhi Chawla Came In Big Cars'

Kashmera Shah has opened up about her early struggle days while working on Yes Boss. The actor revealed she would arrive on set in an auto rickshaw and tried to hide it from others. Playing rich on screen, struggling in real life Kashmera Shah recently shared memories from the early days of her career while speaking on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s YouTube podcast, Bharti TV. The actor recalled landing a role in Yes Boss, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, where she played a glamorous, wealthy woman opposite Aditya Pancholi. However, off-screen, her reality was very different. “I had to play a rich woman in the film, but I didn’t even have a car at that time, I didn’t have rich friends. But I wanted that role so much.” Kashmera revealed that she would travel

to the set in an auto rickshaw but made sure no one saw her arriving that way. “I used to arrive on set at 7 am instead of the call time of 9 am because I didn’t want anyone to see me coming in an auto.” She added that most of her co-stars would arrive in luxury cars. “Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Aditya Pancholi everyone arrived in their own big cars.” Talking about her financial situation at the time, Kashmera said she did not even inform her mother about working in Yes Boss. “I had not told my mother that I am doing Yes Boss. I took her to watch the film. Nobody used to recognise me without make-up, and I did not have money either at that time.” She also revealed her fee for the film. “I was paid Rs 30,000 for that. I had no car at that time because I was a struggler. Nikki Aneja was cast in the role first, but she wasn’t available, she left the film. She didn’t want to do films, I think she was getting married.” She went on to star in films like Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Hera Pheri, and Jungle, along with several popular dance numbers. Over the years, she also became a familiar face on reality television, participating in shows such as Nach Baliye 3, Bigg Boss 1, and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 4.
