Amitabh Bachchan Sipping Starbucks At ISPL In Surat Has Every Coffee Lover’s Attention: ‘Look At His Name On Cup’

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan was spotted at the ongoing of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) Season 3 in Gujarat on Friday. The actor, who co-owns the Majhi Mumbai team, was seen sipping Starbucks while seated in the stands.

Bachchan wore a black high-neck top, paired with a white hoodie and black trousers. He completed his look with comfortable shoes and a cross-body bag, keeping his essentials handy for his outing.

The popular street cricket tournament, being organised in Gujarat’s Surat, remained a star-studded affair in the opening ceremony on Jan. 9. Besides Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Suriya and Ram Charan, among others were also spotted.

Matches

The first match of the season was played on Jan. 9, in which Amitabh Bachchan’s Majhi Mumbai team defeated Akshay Kumar’s Srinagar Veer by 13 runs. The tournament will continue until Feb. 6, featuring a total of 44 tennis-ball T10 matches across eight franchises. It is being organised at the Surat-based Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.

Other teams are also owned by prominent celebrities including Tigers of Kolkata (Sourav Ganguly, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor), Chennai Singams (Suriya), Bengaluru Strikers (Hrithik Roshan), Falcon Risers Hyderabad (Ram Charan), along with new entrants Delhi Superheroes (Salman Khan) and Ahmedabad Lions (Ajay Devgn).

Bachchan’s Upcoming Projects

Bachchan will soon appear in the long-delayed Hindi remake of The Intern. Originally set to star Deepika Padukone alongside him, she exited last year. Based on the 2015 Hollywood hit with Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, the film has faced multiple delays.

He will also reprise his role as Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2. Co-starring Prabhas and Kamal Haasan, the sequel is set in the year 2898 AD. The film draws inspiration from Hindu scriptures and its first part was released in 2024.

It is rumoured that Bachchan will also voice the mythical character Jatayu in Ramayana: Part 1, directed by Nitesh Tiwari starring Ranbir Kapoor.
