In the recent episode of Bigg Boss 20, Mary Kom opened up about feeling helpess for not being able to ‘protect’ her state, Manipur. For more than a two years now, Manipur is experiencing an ethnic conflict and several incidents of violence have been reported between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities.
“I could not do anything for the protection and safety of my Manipur,” Mary Kom said while speaking to Kanika Mann. “There are multiple tries in Manipur, there should be unity among all. All should live peacefully with love,” she added.
The Indian boxer further shared that she feels embarrassed for not being able to help her state and told Kanika, “What can I do? I am helpless. I am not a powerful person. I have achieved a lot for our country but
I could not do anything for my state. I feel very embarrassed.”
Mary: “Manipur mein itna kuch ho gaya, main kuch nahi kar paayi. Dukh hota hai, and I’m not powerful enough to do anything about it.” 👀#BiggBoss20 #MaryKom pic.twitter.com/d2FSQ5T4A8
