Online platforms often offer attractive discounts on ticket bookings for buses, trains and flights, that is why people often purchase tickets from such sites. But in pursuit of getting better prices, a man ended up purchasing a ticket for his trip that turned out to be invalid. Taking to X, he shared his ordeal and asked for urgent help.
In his post dated December 22, the man alleged that the flight ticket he booked through Flipkart was invalid just one day before his scheduled journey. He said the airline had no record of his booking, and the platform’s customer support couldn’t help. “My flight is tomorrow & @Flipkart sold me an INVALID ticket (PNR N7ADZE). Airline (@Vietjetindia) has no record of me. Flipkart support is unhelpful. I am stuck.
Please help!” he wrote.
He also shared a screenshot of his ticket, which showed that his flight was from Delhi on December 24 at 00:05 AM to Hanoi, Vietnam. Then again, he and his friends had a flight from Hanoi to Phu Quoc on the same day.
Man Shared That Flipkart, Cleartrip And The Airline Are All Blaming The Other
In a follow-up post, he said he is now caught between Flipkart, Cleartrip, and the airline, with each party blaming the other. “Update: Stuck in this loop. Called Flipkart & Cleartrip, they said ‘connect with the airline, they have cancelled.’ Called Airline ‘connect with Flipkart/Cleartrip.. They have not processed the ticket properly, hence cancelled.’”
As the post gained traction online, Flipkart responded, apologising for the inconvenience and assuring the man that his issue would be resolved. The company asked him to share his details so that the matter could be looked into. Despite it, he later shared screenshots showing that he was interacting with an automated chatbot instead of human support.
URGENT HELP | My flight is tomorrow & @Flipkart sold me an INVALID ticket (PNR N7ADZE). Airline (@Vietjetindia) has no record of me. Flipkart support is unhelpful.
I am stuck. Please help!

He said, “Putting up a chatbot is not ‘support’. I need a resolution quickly.” Responding to him, Flipkart mentioned, “Our team is dedicated to supporting you. We kindly ask you to elaborate on your concern so that we can offer you the necessary assistance. Please start a private chat for the privacy of your Flipkart account by clicking here.”
People On The Internet Asked Him To File A Case
The incident led to widespread outrage, with many users sharing similar experiences. “Just a suggestion, don’t ever book a flight ticket from @Flipkart because the same thing happened with me in November. When I had to go to Delhi for an interview, I booked a flight from Flipkart, and a day before, I got to know that my PNR is invalid,” one user said.
“Lesson learnt, never book flights from Flipkart,” another added.
A different person mentioned, “Consumer court mein bhi case file kar do for cheating.”
“I was planning for Dubai in mid-January with Flipkart since that’s 1200 cheaper compared to MMT, but now I know the value of 1200. Thanks, bro, and sorry for you,” someone else shared.
