Bengaluru, June 8 (PTI) Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Monday met former CMs Veerappa Moily, Jagadish Shettar and D V Sadananda Gowda at their residences and sought their guidance and support in the interest of the state.
Earlier, Shivakumar had met former CMs Siddaramaiah, B S Yediyurappa and H D Deve Gowda — who was also a former Prime Minister– as he assumed charge as chief minister on June 3.
Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar said, “I will meet all former CMs. I will also meet Basavaraj Bommai. If H D Kumaraswamy (now union minister) gives time, I will meet him. I will seek their guidance and experience. They have all served the state. I will give them the respect they deserve”.
Shivakumar was sworn in as the chief minister along
with 13 ministers on June 3, following Siddaramaiah’s resignation as CM on May 28. PTI KSU ADB
