New Delhi, Jul 4 (PTI) The Delhi government on Saturday issued transfer orders of 52 finance officer, who had served at the same posting for five years or more.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the transfers and promotions have been made purely on administrative grounds to promote integrity and transparency in the system.
“The government’s objective is to establish an administrative system that meets the highest standards of transparency, accountability, efficiency and good governance. There is no place for laxity, negligence or corruption at any level,” she said.
“Twenty-three deputy controllers of accounts and 29 senior accounts officers are among those transferred. In addition, 19 senior accounts officers have been promoted as Deputy Controllers
of Accounts in recognition of their performance, expanding their responsibilities in financial management across departments,” a statement said.
The chief minister said the extensive reshuffle is part of the government’s commitment to build a more accountable, result-oriented and public-centric work culture.
“Timely decision-making, effective financial management and accountable administration will accelerate implementation of government schemes and ensure public services are delivered in a more transparent and efficient manner,” Gupta further said.
All 71 officers have been directed to assume charge at their new places of posting immediately and carry out their responsibilities accordingly. PTI SSM NB NB
