A suspected Pakistani drone has once again been spotted alongside the Line of Control (LoC) in the Malti Sector of the Poonch District in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the army has opened fire towards the flying object, suspected to be a Pakistani drone.
This comes as security forces are on high alert after multiple suspected Pakistani drones were spotted along the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC) in Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts on Sunday evening.
According to officials, at least five drone movements were observed in forward areas, prompting an extensive probe to rule out the possibility of arms or contraband being dropped on the Indian side.
Officials said that all the drone-like objects were seen entering Indian
airspace from across the border, hovering briefly over sensitive locations, and then heading back towards Pakistan.
In addition, similar sightings were reported from the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, where a drone-like object was observed hovering for a few minutes over Chak Babral village in the Ramgarh sector on Sunday.
Similarly, in Poonch district, security personnel detected another suspected drone moving from Tain towards Topa along the LoC at approximately 6.25 P.M. on Sunday.
