Samay Raina Pleads With Folded Hands To Get Permissions In Ahmedabad: 'Let Me Do Shows'

In the recent episode of India’s Got Latent 2, Samay Raina opened up about not being able to perform in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The stand-up comedian revealed that he was not granted permission, due to which he hasn’t performed in the city in last one year. Samay requested the authorities to grand him permission and pleaded to them with folded hands.

It all started after a contestant, who also hails from Ahmedabad, made a request to the people of the city and said, “Ahmedabad, if you are watching this, please come to live shows. We really need you. We want to develop a scene in Ahmedabad.”

He then asked Samay Raina to give a shout-out too. To this, the comedian revealed, “Mere khud ke shows nahi ho paa rahe Ahmedabad mein.” He then added, “Ahmedabad

authorities if you are watching this, let me do shows in Ahmedabad. I love performing in Gujarat.”

When Varun Dhawan, who was a panelist on the show, asked Samay about it, the comedian shared, “Last one year, I have not been able to. I could not get permissions.”

Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent Controversy

This comes a year after Samay faced legal troubles for Ranveer Allahbadia’s comments on India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, during an episode of the show, allegedly asked a contestant an inappropriate question involving body parts and proposed an indecent act in exchange for Rs 2 crore. The outrage peaked when he posed a controversial question: “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?”

Following the incident, multiple police complaints were filed against Ranveer and Samay. They were accused of promoting obscene and sexually explicit content on the show, invoking multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Due to the controversy, Samay deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube and rescheduled his India tour. He later made his comeback with a special show titled ‘Still Alive’.
