Sep 5 (PTI) A 36-year-old labourer from West Bengal died after a beam of a building under construction fell on his head here on Saturday, police said.
The incident occurred within the Lalpur police station limits when he along with three others was engaged in repairing work, they said.
The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Mahto, a native of Jhalda in West Bengal’s Purulia district.
“He died after a beam at the site collapsed and fell on his head,” an officer at Lalpur police station said.
The body was sent to RIMS for post-mortem examination.
His family members have been informed and an investigation is underway, the officer said. PTI RPS RBT
