Samay Raina had a turbulent 2025 after India’s Got Latent landed in controversy. However, the comedian bounced back strongly, going on to perform sold-out shows across India and overseas. With time, the controversy faded, and Samay chose to address that phase with humour, saying it is now firmly “in the past.”
Samay recently appeared on a YouTube vlog hosted by Archana Puran Singh’s son, Aaryamann Sethi. During their conversation, Archana acknowledged Samay’s rise and joked that a truly “big show” changes everything. When Samay mentioned his presence on The Kapil Sharma Show, Archana laughed and remarked that while Kapil earns from it, she does not.
‘You can still get cancelled,’ Samay Jokes
Samay quickly responded with a tongue-in-cheek comment,
pointing out that even without the money, there is always the risk of being “cancelled.” He added that he hopes to reach a stage in life where, like Archana, he can earn simply by laughing on screen, calling it a “dream level of success.”
Samay Roasts Aaryamann Sethi
The humour continued when Samay roasted Aaryamann during the vlog. While introducing him to a friend, Samay jokingly referred to him as “Archana ma’am’s son” and hinted that this was his “main claim to fame” for now. Earlier, when Aaryamann asked for a shoutout, Samay mockingly questioned why he even needed one, given his privileged background.
Archana Reacts and fans cheer
Archana took the roast sportingly and later commented online, praising Samay’s sharp humour. She joked that Aaryamann’s channel had truly “arrived” once it was roasted by Samay Raina. Fans echoed her sentiment, calling the exchange honest, funny, and refreshing.
Living In The Moment
Towards the end of the vlog, Aaryamann described Samay as someone who avoids movies and television and prefers living “in the moment.” He shared that Samay believes in simple joys like music, walks, and conversations with friends, an outlook Aaryamann said he wants to learn from.
