Sep 5 (PTI) A woman and her six-year-old daughter drowned in a pond in Jharkhand’s Palamu district, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place at Talapara village under Chainpur police station limits on Friday evening, they said.
“The bodies were fished out from the pond and sent for post-mortem examination at Medininagar Medical College and Hospital. Prima facie, it seems a case of drowning, as no external injury marks were found,” Chainpur PS officer-in-charge Lalji Chainpur said.
