Pandya, who enjoyed immense success at MI during
his first stint with the side, led GT to the IPL title in their first ever try, and shares an incredible camaraderie with Rashid, who played key role in the side’s success.
Pandya returned to MI last year and has since had to endure difficult time with the five-time champions with a lot of turmoil on and off the field.
MI started their campaign with a win over Kolkata Knight Riders, but have slumped to four-defeats on the bounce since with their losses to Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings.
GT began their season with two successive defeat to PBKS and RR, before turning their campaign around with three wins on the bounce as they got the better of DC, LSG and KKR.
