Bengaluru News: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has announced a 15-hour disruption in water supply across several parts of Bengaluru on Friday, July 31, to facilitate emergency repairs on the Cauvery Stage V Water Supply Scheme pipeline.
According to the BWSSB, water supply will remain suspended from 6 am to 9 pm after a leak was detected in the scour valve of the 3,000-mm transmission pipeline under the Cauvery Stage V project.
Why Is Water Supply Being Suspended?
The civic body said the pumping station supplying water through the Cauvery Stage V network will remain shut throughout the repair work, affecting all areas served by the facility.
BWSSB has urged residents in the affected localities to store sufficient water in advance and use it sparingly during
the shutdown.

BWSSB Advises Residents To Prepare
The BWSSB has advised residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas to make adequate arrangements by storing water before the supply is suspended.
Normal water supply is expected to resume gradually after the repair work is completed and the pumping station becomes operational again.
