Guneet Monga is one of the most credible directors to rely on currently. After bringing an Academy Award to the country after 14 years with her film The Elephant Whisperer, she created quite a buzz. With
about 40 films to her credit and nearly two decades of experience, Guneet, in a recent interview, talked about creating a ₹200 crore film with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
On the Game Changer podcast, the filmmaker was asked to rate the three Khans, and she swiftly said, “Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, then Salman Khan.” In the interview, she also spoke about her admiration for Aamir and Shah Rukh, calling the latter her childhood crush. She shared, “Shah Rukh Khan has been my childhood crush. It was Shah Rukh Khan who inspired me to come to Mumbai.” She then added, “The Khan who I desperately want to work with is Aamir.”
When she was asked about Salman Khan, Guneet, with a smile, shared, “I don’t even know him. And I don’t think he knows me either. At least I have met both Aamir and Shah Rukh. But I have never met Salman.”
About Salman Khan’s Work Front
Salman Khan will next be seen in Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film revisits the harrowing 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops — a rare border skirmish that turned deadly without any firearms being used. Instead, soldiers resorted to hand-to-hand combat with sticks and stones, making it one of the most emotionally charged stories in recent Indian history.
With its stirring subject and powerful cast, Battle of Galwan is poised to be one of the most impactful cinematic tributes to India’s armed forces in recent years.
