Rohit Shetty, who is known for hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi, has finally confirmed that the show is not getting cancelled and that it will air next year. There have been several reports that the new season
of Khatron Ke Khiladi had been shelved, but now Rohit Shetty has confirmed that the show will be renewed for a new season.
Rohit Shetty, who graced the Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar as Salman Khan was not in India due to his Da-Bangg tour, announced that the next season of the stunt-based reality show is very much happening, and since it has been announced on the Bigg Boss stage, the assumption is that it will air on the channel.
Confirming the new season, Shetty shared, “The audience was upset that we couldn’t bring a season this year, but next year the show is returning.” He also spoke about how all of them will fit the bill for the next season of the stunt-based reality show.

Speaking of Khatron Ke Khiladi, the popular reality TV show follows a format where contestants face their fears and compete in thrilling challenges. The first season of the show premiered in 2008 and was hosted by Akshay Kumar. Rohit Shetty took over the hosting responsibilities from the actor in season five in 2014. Arjun Kapoor replaced Rohit Shetty as the host in season seven, but the latter made a comeback the following season and has been hosting ever since. Khatron Ke Khiladi season 14, whose tagline was “Darr Ki Nayi Kahaaniyaan in Romania,” aired from July to September 2024. Actor Karan Veer Mehra competed against 12 contestants to lift the trophy of season 14.
Why Rohit Shetty is hosting this Weekend Ka Vaar
On Friday, JioHotstar announced that Rohit Shetty would replace Salman Khan as the presenter of Weekend Ka Vaar. Sharing a poster of the filmmaker, the channel wrote, “Iss Weekend Ka Vaar, Rohit Shetty layenge action aur drama ka blockbuster blend.” Rohit Shetty replaced Salman Khan this week as the actor is engaged with his Da-Bangg tour in Doha. The actor performed at Doha’s Asian Town Amphitheatre alongside Tamannaah Bhatia, Prabhu Deva, Maniesh Paul, Sunil Grover, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Stebin Ben.
