A 38-year-old engineer was found dead in a hotel bathroom in Gurugram on Thursday, with police indicating that a heart attack may have been the cause of death.
As per the police, the deceased, identified
as Vijay Sarup, is an IT engineer from Bengaluru. He had arrived in Gurugram three days ago with nine colleagues from his company.
The incident took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sector 29. According to police, separate rooms were booked for all the employees on Tuesday. Some left on Wednesday, while others, including Sarup, remained at the hotel.
Sarup and his colleagues were scheduled to check out on Thursday afternoon. However, when he failed to respond to repeated calls, hotel staff alerted the police.
Upon arrival, police found Sarup lying dead on the bathroom commode. Evidence was collected from the scene, and Sarup’s body was sent for a post-mortem examination.
The probe is underway.
