Batting superstar Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten half-century (75 off 42 balls) on Sunday (May 31) to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru chase down the target of 156 runs in 18 overs and secure a five-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The win over the Shubman Gill-led side helped RCB successfully defend their IPL 2025 title which they had won by defeating Punjab Kings on June 3, 2025.

For his superb show with the bat in the summit clash at the world’s biggest cricket stadium, Kohli won the Player of the Match award.
Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi bagged the Emerging Player of the Season, Super Striker of the Season and Super Sixes
of the Season awards, in addition to winning the Orange Cap and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Season award.
The left-handed batter from Bihar played all 16 matches for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026 and amassed a total of 776 runs. He batted at a strike rate of 237.30 and hammered 72 sixes.
South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada won the Purple Cap for dismissing 29 opposition batters in 17 matches for Gujarat Titans, while Kolkata Knight Riders batter Manish Pandey won the Catch of the Season award.
