Hinting that the next teaser of the film will be out on July 1, it will give a peek into the female characters in the film. As soon asYash dropped this news, fans started reacting to it. One wrote, “Brace your seatbelt. Ladies are coming tomorrow 👌👍 It’s
gonna be huge 👌👌 All 5 Toxic ladies coming tomorrow (sic).” “We are ready for the showdown. ☠️ Bring it on. 💥 Ganga. Nadia. Mellisa. Rebecca. Elizabeth (sic),” another user wrote. A third user commented, “First in my bloodline to witness this level of hype for female leads.”
About Toxic and its release
With Toxic, the collaboration between Yash and Geetu Mohandas signals a shift in how action cinema can be imagined, blending scale with sensitivity, and grit with a distinctly fresh perspective. What further elevates the film is its powerful lineup of female characters, with actors like Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria playing pivotal roles, making it even more intriguing to see how these narratives unfold within a genre traditionally dominated by male perspectives.
Toxic was initially scheduled to release worldwide on March 19, where it would have clashed with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar. However, the clash was avoided after the film was pushed to June 4. Later, Yash issued a statement on Instagram explaining the second delay. He wrote, “There are films we make, and then there are films that remind us why we fell in love with cinema. Toxic has been one such journey. Presenting our film at CinemaCon and witnessing the overwhelming global response reaffirmed what we have always believed—that this film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide.”
The makers of the film announced the film’s release date. The film is all set to hit theatres on August 26. “Honour Thy Father… #Toxic In Cinemas Worldwide from 26-08-2026 #ToxicTheMovie,” read the caption.
