Ravie Dubey will soon be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited movie, Ramayana. The film, which will also star Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, will see Ravie playing the role of Lakshman. Recently, Ravie was talking about the project when he expressed gratitude towards the makers for giving him this opportunity and shared that the film has changed everyone a lot.
Ravie mentioned that even Ranbir Kapoor, who will be seen playing the role of Lord Ram, sacrificed a lot for this film. “That role changed me. I had to transform myself to do justice to it because the audience can easily tell when you are faking it. I completely altered my routine. In fact, all of us did, including Ranbir Kapoor. He has sacrificed so much for this film. This feels more like
a yagya. We all did everything in our power to stay true to these characters, in how we behave, react, and even speak,” he told YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia.
Further talking about Ranbir and Yash, Ravie added, “Ranbir has an incredible aura. He’s quiet, graceful, and deeply committed. He carries a very soft energy, and I think that’s something everyone who meets him would feel. Yash, on the other hand, is an extremely friendly person, very warm and genuine. Both of them are very different, yet equally kind-hearted.”
Ranbir Kapoor Turns Vegetarian For Ramayana?
In September this year, it was reported that Ranbir has decided to adopt certain lifestyle changes for Ramayana. Reportedly, the actor is focusing on a strict sattvic diet, early workouts, and meditation to embody the spiritual discipline of the character. He has not only quit alcohol but also turned vegetarian.
Ramayana Part 1: What’s The Update?
Reportedly, the makers have already wrapped up the edit of the first instalment of the film. Earlier this month, Pinkvilla reported that Ramayana makers will soon begin work on the film’s VFX and are planning to focus on it for the next 300 days.
“While the shooting for Ramayana: Part One was wrapped up way back in June 2025, director Nitesh Tiwari has locked the edit for the first instalment. They have frozen the run time, and locked the line-up for the saga. The first round of VFX is also done, and the team has now taken the final edit for a prolonged round of post-production,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.
Who Is Playing What In Ramayana?
While Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Ram, Sai Pallavi will be seen essaying the role of Sita. KGF star Yash will now be seen as Ravana in this movie. Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey will play the roles of Hanuman and Laxman, respectively. On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Mandodri and Surpanakha. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan are also a part of this project.
Ramayana will be released worldwide: Part 1 on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 on Diwali 2027.
