Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi’s crime action thriller, They Call Him OG, is witnessing a steady slowdown at the ticket counters. Released on September 25, the film emerged as one of the biggest openers of 2025, earning a whopping Rs 70 crore. Despite the initial buzz, the collection of They Call Him OG is now slowing down.
On its second Friday, the film registered its lowest single-day collection so far. As per the early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, the Pawan Kalyan starrer has collected just Rs 4.75 crore across all languages in India on Day 9.
They Call Him OG Box Office Collections
According to industry tracker sacnilk.com, They Call Him OG collected Rs 169.3 crore in its first week across all languages. On its opening day alone,
it earned a whopping Rs 70 crore and emerged as one of the biggest openers of 2025. These numbers surpassed Pawan Kalyan’s numbers from his last release, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which collected Rs 34 crore on its opening day.
The total earnings of the film after the ninth day of its release now stand at Rs 174.05 crore at the domestic box office.
They Call Him OG’s Storyline And Cast
Made under the direction of Sujeeth, the action thriller features an ensemble cast of talented actors, including Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, Priyanka Mohan and Sriya Reddy in pivotal roles.
Set in the turbulent 1990s, the story follows Satya Dada (portrayed by Prakash Raj), a Mumbai port owner whose empire is under threat by the merciless Mirajkar (Tej Sapru) and his impulsive son Jimmy (Sudhev Nair).
When a lost container with explosives causes havoc, Jimmy takes the route of violence, killing indiscriminately, including Satya Dada’s younger son. But the biggest shock involves Omi Bhau (Emraan Hashmi), a ruthless criminal who eyes the container.
With the city falling out of control, all eyes are on Ojas Gambheera, aka OG (played by Pawan Kalyan), a criminal boss living in exile. He reluctantly returns to Mumbai, laying the groundwork for a storm of revenge. Watch to know who OG is, why he disappeared, and how he is related to the port owner, Satya Dada. The film is facing tough competition at the box office from Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1. The mythological thriller, which was released in theatres on October 2, saw an overwhelming response and raked in a staggering Rs 60 crore on day one, according to Sacnilk.com.
They Call Him OG also clashed with Shashank Khaitan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Starring Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor and Rohit Saraf, the film also released on October 2.
