Veteran actor Dharmendra died on November 24 at the age of 89. As the actor left for his heavenly abode, tributes flowed in from around the industry. His cremation was held at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai.
Several stars were seen arriving at the location where his final rites were performed. Later, many actors who have either worked with him or shared a close bond with the late actor penned emotional notes remembering him.
Preity Zinta shared a throwback monochrome picture of Dharmendra on X and wrote, “What do you say about a man that was all heart, so loving, so compassionate & one of the biggest superstars & a legend of Indian cinema. When I didn’t know him I loved him and when I met him I loved him even more. Words fail me as I feel sadness creep into my heart.
I will miss you beyond words Dharam Ji ! Thank you for always being so kind, and for being so generous and loving to me. Thank you for entertaining us and for uplifting others around you. You lit up so many lives. There will never be another like you. Rest in peace.”

Preity Zinta also visited the Deol residence after Dharmendra’s last rites were performed. She met the family and offered her heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
Dharmendra’s Last Rites Performed In Mumbai
Dharmendra had been receiving medical care at home after being discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he had been admitted due to a prolonged illness. Doctors monitored him daily, and although his condition showed brief improvement after returning home, he ultimately succumbed to his ailment.
His eldest son, Sunny Deol, performed the last rites at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan were among the first to arrive, joining thousands of fans who had gathered to bid their final farewell. Salman Khan also reached the crematorium soon after to pay his respects.
Later, images surfaced of several other Bollywood personalities, including Sanjay Dutt, Shabana Azmi, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Aamir Khan, arriving to honour the legendary actor.
