Dragon is one of the most awaited films right now as it unites two of the industry’s biggest forces, Man of the Masses Jr NTR and visionary filmmaker Prashanth Neel. In May this year, the makers also dropped the fierce first look of NTR’s character, which piqued the excitement of fans. The team is still shooting for the film, and according to the latest update, they might have faced a bit of a snag.
Jr NTR Suffers Shoulder Injury
On Monday, July 27, 2026, Jr NTR’s team informed his fans and well-wishers that the actor had sustained a shoulder injury on the sets of Dragon. After undergoing treatment, doctors advised him to take complete rest for six to eight weeks.
The statement read, “We regret to inform everyone that Mr NTR sustained an unfortunate
shoulder injury earlier this evening. Following a thorough medical evaluation, the team of doctors headed by Dr. J. Madhusudan Rao and Dr. R. A. Purnachandra Tejaswi has advised complete rest for six to eight weeks to ensure a smooth and complete recovery. We would like to assure everyone that there is absolutely no cause for panic. We will continue to share official updates regarding his health and recovery as and when appropriate. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”

First Glimpse Of Dragon
The first glimpse of Dragon showed audiences a powerful look at Jr NTR in one of his darkest and most intense avatars yet. The teaser introduces NTR as “Luger,” a fierce assassin operating in a violent world shaped by narcotics, crime and political unrest. Set in 1967, the story unfolds against the backdrop of the Golden Triangle and the international opium trade, and appears to blend period drama with action on a massive scale.

About Dragon
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the action epic is slated for a worldwide release on June 11, 2027. Dragon has been in production for a long time. In Dragon, Jr NTR steps into the shoes of a ruthless killer in a lawless world where deadly rivals will stop at nothing to control the opium trade.
It also stars Biju Menon, Rukmini Vasanth, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Sidhant Gupta, Prabhas Srinu, Shatru, Shiva, and Bhimal Jeet Oberoi, among others.
Another major highlight is the presence of Anil Kapoor, who plays the chief of the narcotics bureau locked in a dangerous clash with NTR’s character. The film marks Kapoor’s second collaboration with the Telugu superstar after War 2.
