Actress Janhvi Kapoor visited the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and climbed 3,550 steps barefoot to seek blessings as her film Peddi with Ram Charan released in theatres today. The actor’s visit drew considerable attention, and several videos and photographs of her journey to the temple went viral on social media.
Janhvi Kapoor Visits Tirumala As Peddi Releases In Theatres
Dressed in a simple pink kurti and palazzo, Janhvi was seen taking the Alipiri footpath, a route used by thousands of devotees travelling to Tirumala each year. Walking barefoot in keeping with temple customs, she made her way up the steps before reaching the temple premises. Several clips showing the actress making the climb last night have gone viral on social media.
Meanwhile, several other photos show Janhvi Kapoor in a traditional
saree as she offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara and took part in temple rituals. She was dressed in an elegant purple silk saree and completed her look with traditional jewellery, including a statement necklace, matching earrings, bangles and a waist belt. Her hair was styled in a graceful half-up, half-down hairstyle, while a bindi on her forehead added a touch of traditional charm to her appearance. Check out the photos and videos below!

About Peddi
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and Vriddhi Cinemas. In Peddi, Ram Charan will be seen playing a cricketer, wrestler and runner, making the character a rare crossover athlete. Set in Vijayanagaram, Andhra Pradesh, the trailer introduces Peddi as a gifted sportsman who seems unbeatable in almost every competition he enters.
Ram Charan plays the titular role, while Janhvi Kapoor stars as his love interest Achiyyamma. Shiva Rajkumar appears as Gourinaidu, Divyendu plays Rambujji and Jagapathi Babu essays Appalasoori. The film released in theatres today, on June 4, 2026.
