In the 76th minute, Dorgu latched onto a Matheus Cunha cross, scoring to extend United’s lead against their noisy neighbours. Diallo showcased remarkable skill, fending off Nathan Ake’s pressure as he cut in from the left and struck the post with his right foot. Shortly thereafter, Mason Mount, who had just been substituted in, put the ball into an open net, only for the goal to be disallowed for offside due to Cunha straying past the last defender during the build-up.
Earlier, Amad Diallo and Fernandes both had goals disallowed for offside, dampening the spirits of Michael Carrick’s Red Devils.
