Harry Kane, England’s all-time leading goalscorer in men’s international football, has equalled the record for the most FIFA World Cup goals scored by a Three Lions player. The FC Bayern Munich striker needed two goals in England’s FIFA World Cup 2026 Group L opener against Croatia at AT&T Stadium in Dallas to match Gary Lineker’s tally, and he achieved the feat in just 42 minutes.
Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 12th minute after England were awarded a spot-kick following a foul by Luka Modrić. He then doubled his tally in the 42nd minute with a superb header, taking his overall World Cup goal count to 10.
