Rashid Khan entered his name in the history books on Wednesday (October 8) by becoming the first bowler from Afghanistan to take 200 wickets in ODIs. The 27-year-old spinner needed one wicket in the ongoing
first Afghanistan-Bangladesh ODI at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi to complete 200 dismissals in ODIs, and he achieved the objective by taking Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
The Bangladeshi ODI captain was trapped in front of the wickets by Rashid on the last ball of the 39th over. Before making his way back to the dugout, the spin bowling all-rounder faced 87 balls and with the help of one four and one six scored 60 runs.
He added 101 runs for the fourth wicket with Towhid Hridoy, who made 56 runs from 85 balls.
