Sep 11 (PTI ) A six-year-old girl was severely injured after a car hit the scooter carrying her and her father in Maharashtra’s Thane district, police said on Friday.
The incident took place near the Teen Batti market in the Bhiwandi area on September 8.
A speeding Kia car collided with the scooter ridden by Mahammad Mukhtar Ahmad Momin, with his daughter Mahera riding pillion. The car driver sped away despite his daughter sustaining serious injuries, Momin told the police.
A case has been registered, and efforts are being made to trace the car driver, said an official from the Bhiwandi City police station. PTI COR NR
