India’s talented batter Pratika Rawal shared her stunning images online amidst ongoing rehab from an injury sustained during the ICC World Cup 2025 in October. The young cricketer, who unfortunately went
down with injuries to her knee and ankle while fielding against Bangladesh, couldn’t take part in the knock-out stage of the competition, where the Women in Blue scripted history and lifted the ultimate crown for the first time.
Having been under a rehabilitation programme since, Rawal, on Tuesday, November 18, took to Instagram and shared a series of beautiful images that her rising online follower base loved and adored. Fans poured their heart out for Rawal in the comment section, while also asking for her well-being and hoping for a positive update as she strives to regain match fitness soon.

“How’s the leg?? Can’t wait to see u back in action champ!!” asked a supporter.
An admirer hailed Rawal as the “Queen of Indian Cricket.”
“I enjoyed your patience while Batting and specially against New Zealand, your contribution. Will remember (it), really stunning performance in whole tournament. So Proud,” someone else mentioned.
The pictures of Rawal comfortably sitting on a sofa indicated good signs in her recovery as the earnest cricketer was seen in a wheelchair during India’s post-win celebrations at the World Cup final against South Africa in Navi Mumbai on November 2. Despite being in obvious discomfort, an elated Rawal entered the arena and celebrated her team’s biggest victory ever.
“I can’t express enough. There are no words. It’s not going to come out of my mouth. This flag on my shoulder means a lot to me. And you know, being here with my team, it’s just surreal,” she told the broadcasters during an interaction.
“Injuries are part and parcel of the game. I’m very happy that I was a part of this team, this winning team. I just love this team. I can’t express my feelings towards this team. I’m very happy that we actually made it. We’re the first team who has won the World Cup in so long and the whole of India deserves this.”
Rawal, who finished the World Cup with 308 runs in six innings at an average of 51.33, will be remembered for her terrific century in the must-win encounter against New Zealand. Her innings of 122 in a marathon opening stand with fellow centurion Smriti Mandhana laid the foundation for an Indian victory that sealed the team’s semi-final spot.
