A normal morning for most of us includes a quick cleanse, moisturiser, and sunscreen. But what if that routine suddenly became a paid internship? A Bengaluru startup’s internship post has gone viral for exactly that reason, offering Rs 1 lakh to interns who follow a skincare routine for a month.
The internship, has quickly gone viral for its unconventional premise. Unlike traditional internships, this programme does not require prior skincare expertise or professional experience. It is open to anyone above 18 years of age, making it accessible to a wide range of applicants.
The second season of the IIT-Alumni startup, Deconstruct Skincare is open for applications, and it is not limited to skincare experts. The programme is open to anyone above
18 years, regardless of prior skincare knowledge or experience.
The goal is to encourage people to understand and follow skincare routines. The company aims to show that skincare is simple, and when done consistently, it can make a noticeable difference.
What Are The Roles And Responsibility?
The programme will be conducted remotely and will last for 30 days. Selected interns will receive guidance from skincare coaches and participate in sessions led by dermatologists. According to the post shared, selected interns will:
- Follow a morning and night skincare routine daily
- Track and report changes in their skin health
- Test and review newly launched products
- Learn skincare fundamentals through tasks, sessions, and regular check-ins
In addition to the stipend, the internship offers several experiences for the selected participants. They will receive a skincare kit tailored to their skin type and concerns, and also get the chance to visit the company’s headquarters. The programme includes a professional photoshoot, and interns may also get opportunities to be featured in brand campaigns, including billboards.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to people of all genders, ages, and backgrounds. To promote inclusivity, 50 percent of the internship spots are reserved for male participants, challenging the idea that skincare is only for women.
How to Apply?
Applications will be accepted only through Unstop. Interested candidates can also express their interest on LinkedIn by sharing their skincare routines, habits, and journeys. Participants can also tag the company on Instagram. This approach moves beyond traditional CV-based applications.
The final cohort will include six participants, who will undertake a 30-day skincare-focused journey from home.
