Sensex Today: Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty are likely to open lower on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, tracking weak global cues. At 7:36 AM, GIFT Nifty futures were trading 57 points down at
25,902, signalling a soft start for domestic markets.
Global Cues
Across Asia, equities were largely in the red. Mainland China’s CSI 300 slipped 0.91%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 0.49% as investors awaited China’s November CPI data. Japan’s Nikkei was down 0.29%, and South Korea’s KOSPI declined 0.28%.
In the US, markets ended mixed overnight. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.38%, the S&P 500 edged down 0.09%, while the Nasdaq Composite posted a modest 0.13% gain. Investors are now focused on the Federal Reserve’s policy announcement, expected later today following its two-day meeting.
