Delhi, May 18 (PTI) President Droupadi Murmu on Monday condoled the loss of lives in a road accident in Maharashtra and prayed for the recovery of those injured.
A tempo packed with guests heading for an engagement ceremony collided with a speeding container trailer on Monday on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, killing 13 people and injuring 20 others, officials said.
“The news of the loss of lives in the road accident that occurred in Palghar district of Maharashtra is extremely tragic. I express my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and pray for the swift recovery of those injured in this accident,” Murmu said in a post on X in Hindi. PTI AKV NB
