Arjun Tendulkar is set to marry Saaniya Chandok later this year — the wedding festivities will begin on March 3 and the marriage will be an intimate
affair attended by close family members and friends on March 5.
Arjun, a 26-year-old left-arm pacer, got engaged to Chandok, the granddaughter of businessman Ravi Ghai, in August last year.
Who Is Saaniya Chandok?
Saaniya Chandok comes from one of Mumbai’s wealthiest families and serves as a Designated Partner and Director at Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP. The Ghai family has a significant presence in the hospitality and food industries, owning the InterContinental hotel and the popular ice cream brand, Brooklyn Creamery.
Arjun joined the Mumbai Indians in 2021 at his base price of Rs 20 Lakhs but missed the season due to injury. The franchise retained faith in him, bringing him back for Rs 30 Lakhs in the 2022 auction, and he made his IPL debut in 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders. He has played 5 matches in the IPL, taking 3 wickets. However, his opportunities were limited the following year, as he featured in just one game without success.
In domestic cricket, Arjun represents Goa and has taken 48 wickets in 22 First-Class matches, along with scoring 620 runs. He also has 25 wickets and 155 runs in 23 List A games. Ahead of the IPL 2026 Auction, Arjun was traded to the Lucknow Super Giants from Mumbai Indians. This move also saw veteran Indian seamer Mohammed Shami joining LSG, as the team aims to bolster its bowling unit.
