Rajasthan Royals (RR) omitted senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja from their playing 11 for the match against the Delhi Capitals on Sunday to manage his workload. RR skipper Riyan Parag, who returned to the team after sitting out the last match due to a hamstring issue, didn’t go into specifics and stated he missed out at the Arun Jaitley Stadium due to ‘load management and all of that’.

| Schedule | Results | Orange Cap | Purple Cap“A few injuries here and there. I had to step out as well, so that’s not been helping. But as far as today is concerned, there’s just one change. Jaddu bhai misses out because of his load management and all of that,” Parag said at the toss.
It seems like a curious decision unless Jadeja is dealing with an actual
injury. Not only is this a must-win match for RR, but Jadeja has only bowled 29 overs and batted for eight innings this season.
His form has been middling, with 190 runs at a strike-rate of 133.80 and eight wickets at an average of 30.50 to his name.
Who has replaced Ravindra Jadeja in the Rajasthan Royals’ playing 11
Born in Varanasi on May 25, 2001, Ravi Singh is a promising young wicketkeeper-batter with his fearless strokeplay and attacking approach. The left-hander enjoyed a breakout 2025/26 domestic season for Railways, delivering impactful performances across formats.
He starred in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 354 runs in five matches, including a maiden unbeaten century against Haryana, finishing as Railways’ leading run-scorer. Singh also impressed in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scoring 218 runs at a strike rate above 173, while maintaining his aggressive form in the UP T20 League.
His red-ball credentials were equally evident when he marked his Ranji Trophy debut with a fluent 98 against Gujarat. Rewarding his rapid rise, Rajasthan Royals snapped him up for INR 95 lakh ahead of IPL 2026.
