Khan. While Deepika is already shooting with SRK for King, several media reports have recently suggested that her role in Atlee’s movie has also been cut short, possibly due to the demand for shorter work hours. However, an insider has now revealed that there is no truth to such reports.

If a report by Mid-Day is to be believed, Deepika Padukone will begin shooting with Allu Arjun for the Atlee directorial later this month. “There is no truth to rumours that Deepika’s screen time has been reduced. Her role has not changed from what she was offered when she came on board in June. She has a fierce part, which is essential to the first and second acts of the narrative,” a source cited by the portal claimed.

Reportedly, Deepika Padukone has allotted her dates from late October to December-end for this project. While the first schedule is likely to focus on portions that will establish her character, Deepika will work on large-scale action set-pieces in November. In December, the team will move to UAE “where Allu Arjun and Deepika will film a crucial mid-film twist and emotional scenes.”

Deepika Padukone’s Exit From Kalki 2, Spirit

The reports of Deepika Padukone’s alleged shorter role in Atlee’s film come days after the actress was ousted from Kalki 2. It was said that the Kalki 2 makers decided to drop Deepika because she was demanding a 25 per cent hike in her fees, along with a 7-hour work shift. Reportedly, the makers attempted to negotiate these two demands with the actress, but she remained inflexible.

It should be noted that ever since Deepika Padukone attained motherhood, several reports have claimed that the actress has demanded shorter shift hours. Earlier this year, she was also ousted from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, allegedly because of one of these reasons.

About Atlee’s Film With Allu Arjun

AA22xA6 marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee. It is touted to be an action-entertainer. While early rumours hinted that the film might feature a two-hero storyline, Allu Arjun’s team had recently clarified that the actor will be seen in dual roles, adding another intriguing layer to the film’s narrative.

Previously, Allu Arjun also talked about the movie when he told News9, “Yes, it’s my twenty-second film, it’s with Atlee garu who directed Jawaan, and we have come together for it. I like the idea that he told me, and I like his aspirations, and I felt it was like mine on many levels, and we hope to bring a very new visual spectacle film to Indian cinema.”
