Actor Babil Khan recently shared his thoughts on meditation at an event, explaining that for him, it is not just a practice but a way of living. Known for speaking openly about emotions and self-growth, Babil kept his take simple and personal. He said that meditation should not feel like a separate task in the day, but something that becomes natural over time. Instead of setting aside time only to meditate, he believes the mindset should stay with you throughout the day.
“You should not do meditation as an act, you should set your mindset in your body in such a way that it should happen automatically throughout the day. You have to be okay with who you are, not to fight who you’re. Just to set that mindset, so that you can walk in with the day with that confidence
in you. It’s also just loving yourself. To get there first you need to accept yourself”.
Babil also spoke about self-acceptance, saying it plays an important role in feeling calm and balanced. According to him, being comfortable with who you are makes it easier to deal with everyday situations without stress.
Not long back, Babil shared an emotional note for his mother, Sutapa Sikdar, revealing how she continues to be his constant support system. Sharing a beautiful set of pictures featuring the mother and son duo, Babil wrote, “She still worries about me from home, she’s been raising me on her own.”
Babil Khan shared a picture with his mother on social media, posing together against a sunset. He has often said that Sutapa Sikdar has been his biggest support, especially after the death of his father, Irrfan Khan. In interviews and posts, Babil has credited her for keeping the family strong during that difficult time. Sutapa, too, has spoken about how Babil stood by her after Irrfan’s passing.
Babil is the son of late actor Irrfan Khan, who was known for delivering some of Indian cinema’s most critically acclaimed films such as The Lunchbox, Hindi Medium, Piku, Maqbool and Haider.
