Islamabad, Jun 19 (PTI) Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Friday pledged their support for dialogue between the US and Iran while urging vigilance against any attempt to undermine the peace process.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he held a “warm and most cordial telephone conversation with my dear brother” Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“We agreed that the next phase of negotiations must continue to be guided by a firm commitment to dialogue, diplomacy, and vigilance against any attempt to undermine the peace process,” he said.
Sharif thanked Saudi Arabia for its support for Pakistan’s peace efforts.
He told the crown prince that his “wise leadership” and the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability
remained vital guiding forces throughout this crisis.
The Prime Minister also expressed complete satisfaction at the excellent state of Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations.
Sharif said that he “looked forward to further strengthening” the economic partnership between the two countries. PTI SH ZH ZH
