Aman Goel, founder and CEO of GreyLabs AI, has said that he and his wife’s decision to hire a professional home manager has saved them from “headaches and time.”
Goel and his wife, Harshita Srivastava, are IIT graduates. Goel from IIT Bombay and Srivastava from IIT Kanpur. They work full-time to build and scale GreyLabs. With their demanding careers, managing household chores became a challenge.
“I actually hired a Home Manager who is a full-time person who takes care of everything from food planning, wardrobes, repairs, maintenance, Groceries, laundry, etc. Basically, she manages all the house help and service providers and frees up our time,” Goel said in a post on X.

“We needed this because Harshita and I are both working professionals and don’t have time for this. We want our full energy to be focused on building GreyLabs,” he added.
The home manager, who earns Rs 1 lakh a month or Rs 12 lakh a year, is a trained professional who previously served as the Operations Head of a hotel chain.
“The decision has so far been really good – saving us from lots of headaches and time,” he noted.
“The person working with us is an educated one and has served as Operations Head at a hotel chain. We pay them Rs. 1 lakhs a month. Expensive? Probably yes. But we value our time and can afford to pay, hence paying,” Goel revealed in another post.

Goel also said that hiring a home manager ensures his ageing parents are not burdened with household responsibilities.
“In my case, my parents stay with me. But they’re senior citizens and so, I don’t want to burden them. I rather want them to travel and enjoy life,” he said.

A home manager is a professional who oversees and manages all aspects of running a household, acting like the operations head of a home. They supervise domestic staff, coordinate cleaning, laundry, and maintenance, handle grocery shopping and meal planning, and take care of repairs and household bills. They also manage vendors, track expenses, and sometimes organise events or travel arrangements.
