Tears, Hugs, And Goodbye: IPS Vidyasagar Mishra Gets Emotional Farewell In UP | Who Is He?

It was supposed to be a casual farewell day, just like any other. However, Vidyasagar Mishra, a veteran IPS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, couldn’t hold back his tears when he was showered with love and warmth by his colleagues.

With ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ — a timeless song from the iconic movie ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna — playing in the background, Mishra’s colleagues paid him an emotional tribute.

Vidyasagar Mishra, Superintendent of Police of Rampur, was recently transferred to the post of the post of Commandant, 11th Battalion, PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) in Sitapur.

To make the day worth remembering, Mishra’s colleagues and fellow officers threw him a small farewell party. What was supposed to be an event filled with laughter

and memories turned into an emotional one.

Many of his colleagues broke down during the event, as the IPS officer embraced and said ‘goodbye’ to them.

Even IPS Mishra couldn’t stop himself from crying, as he left behind a legacy of discipline, hard work, and fair working style. Seemingly, to him, it was beyond a farewell.

It was no less than a moment to revisit the very memories he created with his fellow officers and juniors, and it was visible in his eyes when he kept consoling his comrades in a quavering voice.

Who Is IPS Vidyasagar Mishra?

A native of Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia, Vidyasagar Mishra was promoted to the post of an IPS officer in 2023.

Mishra, a 1993-batch Provincial Police Service (PPS) officer, was previously posted in Muradabad and Pratapgarh, districts that were rife with crime. He is known to have worked for the strengthening of law and order there.

According to IPS Mishra, change can only be achieved by remaining impartial and connecting with people in the right way.
