Ram Kapoor Breaks Silence On Reported Fallout With Ektaa Kapoor: ‘Nobody Knows...'

Ram Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor made headlines last year when reports of their alleged fallout surfaced on social media. Now, a year after the rumours, Ram Kapoor and Ektaa are collaborating again for Lock Upp Season 2, and at the launch event of the much-awaited reality show, the actor spoke about the alleged differences.

While joking about how he had been in the news last year for his alleged rift with Ektaa Kapoor, Ram said, “Pichle saal mein bahut charcha hui hai, bahut speculation hui hai ki Ektaa aur mere beech kya hua, right?” (Over the past year, there has been a lot of discussion and a lot of speculation about what happened between Ektaa and me, right?)

He further continued and, while speaking about how people speculated things without any

knowledge of what had happened, Kapoor added, “Nobody knows for sure.”

Without revealing the exact reason behind the alleged rift, Ram continued, “One thing everybody knows for sure, one fact, in 15 years, every time Ektaa and we have worked together, we have created magic, fact.” He also revealed that one of the reasons for him agreeing to the show was his confidence that it would be successful since he was collaborating with Ekta.

He further ended the speculations about their fallout as he gave Ektaa a warm hug and a kiss as soon as she graced the stage. When Ritesh asked if Ram was ready to go into the lock-up, Ektaa added to the fun banter and said, “Main bohot time se bhejne ke liye taiyar hoon, ispe hathkadi main lagaungi.” (I’ve been ready to send him to jail for a long time. I’ll be the one putting the handcuffs on him.)

What Went Wrong Between Ram Kapoor And Ekta Kapoor?

The reported fallout began after Ram Kapoor spoke about the much-discussed intimate scene between him and Sakshi Tanwar in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. In an interview, Ram said he believed the scene was included because Ekta Kapoor wanted it and that he had followed the producer’s vision. The comments sparked controversy and soon became a talking point online.

Around the same time, Ekta Kapoor shared a cryptic social media post about “unprofessional actors.” While she did not name anyone, many assumed the post was aimed at Ram. The speculation grew further when Ram’s wife, Gautami Kapoor, reacted publicly and defended him. Another post by Ekta later fuelled more rumours, although she reportedly clarified that it was not directed at Ram.
