Bigg Boss 19’s Abhishek Bajaj Defends Ashnoor Kaur After She Hits Tanya Mittal: ‘Badnaami Karne Ki Koshish…’

Ashnoor Kaur is facing massive backlash for hitting fellow Bigg Boss 19 contestant Tanya Mittal with a wooden plank during the Ticket To Finale task. The promo clip showing Ashnoor hitting Tanya went viral and left netizens furious. After the episode aired, Kamya Punjabi also slammed Ashnoor and said that it was extremely wrong if she did it intentionally to physically hurt Tanya. Now, even as Ashnoor faces backlash, her friend and former Bigg Boss 19 contestant Abhishek Bajaj has come to her defence. He said that Ashnoor has also been hurt many times in the past during tasks, but she has never complained about it. He pointed out that Tanya, Kunickaa, and Neelam Giri body-shamed Ashnoor in the past, and when they can’t measure up to someone,

they resort to defaming them.

While speaking with Free Press Journal, Abhishek Bajaj defended Ashnoor Kaur amid accusations that she intentionally hurt Tanya Mittal. He said, “These people have played a victim card with me as well during tasks and now they are doing the same thing with Ashnoor. But she has always been a sport.” He further added, “She (Ashnoor) was tackled, pushed, and grabbed by Tanya, Kunickaa ji, and Neelam and also been body-shamed by them, and still they couldn’t beat her. Jahan barabari nahi hoti hai, wahan badnaami karne ki koshish karte hain. (When people can’t match up, they try to defame others).”

Abhishek further added that Ashnoor’s intention wasn’t to hurt anyone. He also said that she  never created a fuss despite being hurt several times in the BB house. “Ashnoor ko bhi kaafi chote lagi hai but she never raised an issue. Sports me cheezein upar neeche hoti hai and understanding that is true sportsmanship. And a task has to be taken as a task (Ashnoor has also been hurt quite a few times, but she never raised any issues. In sports, things go up and down, and understanding that is true sportsmanship),” he said.

What Led To Ashnoor Kaur And Tanya Mittal’s Altercation?

During the Ticket to Finale task, Tanya spilled water from Ashnoor’s bowl, eliminating her from the race. After that, Ashnoor removed the wooden plank from her shoulders and ended up hitting  Tanya. Tanya claimed that Ashnoor hit her intentionally, and later, Shehbaz Badesha also stated that it was clear Ashnoor had struck Tanya with the plank. After the promo clip showing their altercation went viral, a section of netizens demanded Ashnoor’s immediate eviction.
